ABOUT

I’m Alycia Jones, a senior designer and illustrator based in Sacramento, CA. I have a BA degree in Communication Design along with seven years of agency experience designing custom responsive websites and brand identities from the ground up. During my professional career I've had the opportunity to work on a wide range of web, branding, and print projects for multiple clients at a time in a fast paced and team oriented environment.

 

I have a strong foundational knowledge of basic design principles and a passion for bringing projects to life with stunning visual language. I love to create experiences that are easy to interact with, communicate clearly, appeal to the target audience, and stand out amongst the crowd. My interest in design stems from my lifelong love of art, which has given me the ability to hand sketch quick ideas and create detailed illustrations. I also love to learn and am always looking for opportunities to grow in order to keep up with the ever-changing world of technology and design trends.

 

Becoming Storybrand certified in 2019 provided me with a foundation in brand positioning and marketing, adding a strategic element to my design. It's served as a constant reminder that a brand should never be the hero of a story; the user should be. Therefore, everything I design aims to appeal to the user's wants and needs while positioning the brand as their guide to get them to where they want to be.

When I’m not designing, I love to get outdoors, spend time with family and friends, draw, work on my latest DIY home renovation project, try out a new restaurant or cocktail lounge, or binge on a good video game.
